If something happened to you, how would your family maintain their lifestyle? Level term life insurance.
Designed for AOPA members and their busy, active lifestyles, AOPA Level Term Group Life Insurance has no general aviation exclusions—something you may not get from an average policy.
AOPA members and their spouses
can lock in affordable rates and benefits up to $1 million for 10 or 20 years—without having to worry about updating their coverage yearly. The initial premium will not change for the first 10 or 20 years unless the insurance company exercises its right to change premium rates for all insureds covered under the group policy with 60 days advance written notice. You can trust that your rate is designed to not increase, making it easy to plan and budget from year to year.

Coverage will not reduce during a level term period. For Members and Spouses
who are age 70 to 74 at the end of a level term, period coverage will reduce to 50% and from age 75 to 79 coverage is reduced to 25% of the original face amount. Coverage terminates at age 80.
“Living Benefits” if terminally ill – If you are diagnosed as terminally ill with less than 12 months to live, you can request up to 50% of your life insurance benefits (or $100,000, whichever is less) through the plan’s Accelerated Life Benefit. You can use this money any way you wish—to help pay for medical expenses, homemaker services or other expenses. The remainder of your benefit amount will be paid to your beneficiary(ies) after your death. Please note: The receipt of Accelerated Life Benefits may be taxable. You should seek assistance from a personal tax advisor in order to assess possible tax implications.
