BMSC is an Eritrean company formed for the development and operation of the Bisha Mine in western Eritrea, Africa. It is owned by Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd. (55%) and the Eritrean National Mining Corporation (ENAMCO) (45%). The Bisha Mine is a high-grade copper, gold, silver and zinc mine that commenced production in February 2011. The Bisha Mine has received continuous support from the Eritrean government, who granted the Company's mining license in January 2008. The project is the first modern mine in Eritrea.
After two years of low cost gold production, the Bisha Mine transitioned to low-cost, high-grade copper production in 2013. Starting in 2016, Bisha also produces zinc concentrate. Further resource potential exists at depth and from nearby discoveries within the Company's licensed areas.
The site is a well-established site with excellent catering and recreational facilities. The site also offers Wi-Fi internet coverage throughout the village as well international TV and a full gymnasium. Security ranks with best in the world and employees mountain bike freely. Expatriates work a roster of 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off; we offer on-site medical services as well as company medical, accident death and disability and life insurance (employee only); Employees are provided with private rooms with en-suite toilet and shower facilities; Working hours at Bisha are Monday to Saturday from 6am to 6pm with a one hour lunch break and Sundays from 6am to 12pm with the afternoon off.

The successful candidate will earn a salary which is market related. Contract is for a period of 02 (two) Years.

Plan, schedule, conduct and evaluate Boilermaker training programs. Conduct workplace training & competency assessment. Follow up, evaluate and recommend corrective actions on the Boilermakers’ coaching process to meet the required competencies of specific designations, as stipulated in the Training & Assessment Plan. Facilitate boilermaker training in the workshop and provide them with the necessary coaching and mentoring to support.
Planning and Scheduling of the Boilermaker Training Programs
Prepare, annual, quarterly & monthly Training Plans & schedule for all boilermaker courses.
Schedule and introduce any necessary changes
Notify and remind Department Supervisors on training schedules
Develop, review, update and use competency Training & Assessment materials.

Liaise with the relevant workshop management personnel to ascertain the nature of upcoming jobs and prepare assessment and hands -on workshop training initiatives accordingly.
Deliver training according to Training & Assessment plan
Conduct technical knowledge and skill competency assessments for Boilermaker trainees, as defined in the Training & assessment Plan.
Conduct hands-on workshop training on products to ensure Boilermaker competencies are met at the required standards.
Developing trainees’ knowledge and mastering all required competencies, in accordance with the skill competencies set in the training & assessment plan.
Conduct pre-training skill assessment and determine skill gaps. Set comprehensive plan to fill the identified gaps and recognize RPL, if any
Ensure that safety and environmental control regulations are followed at all times.
Serve as coach and mentor to the trainees and their mentors by offering advice, correcting technical practices and facilitating the necessary procedures.
Evaluate the coaching and skills transfer activities of the workshop coaches and recommend for improvements.
Ensure that Boiler maker logbooks are maintained for accuracy and are up to date at all times.
Regular review the Boiler maker logbooks for accuracy and correct completion
Set competency assessment schedule for skill sets completed in the logbooks and communicate with the relevant workshop management personnel.
Prepare weekly and monthly Workplace Training & Assessment report.
Provide regular updates on individual trainee’s progress to immediate supervisor.

5 – 7 years Boilermaker experience in the workshop
