When you sign up for the MAWISTA Student health insurance your insurance documents include a treatment slip. You must present the treatment slip to the physician or hospital prior to the treatment in Germany. You do not need the treatment slip outside Germany. In case of acute illness or accident you can choose your physician or hospital. For general illnesses such as influenza, headaches or minor accidents we recommend you visit a general practitioner.
